Benefits To Healthy Eating - Are There Any More Than 10?

Anyone who says that there are 10 rules or benefits to healthy eating is pulling your leg. Why? Because even someone who does not know about food knows that chips and pop are not good for you and that you should eat your fruits and veggies. There’s two tips right there.
What about everything else? Like the fats, oils to cook instead of butter, tomato is a fruit right? That’s three more.
We all know that we could or should be eating healthier. Simple… An apple here, a salad there, some protein for dinner, do not forget the potatoes… Right?
Wrong …
While yes those are all good for you, if you are a diabetic a sugary apple just will not cut it and certainly over-ripe pears won’t either. And YES!!! Garlic has several benefits to it.
But, most people know that garlic is good for you, but did not know that ingesting garlic while on certain medications can be harmful. Wait was that two more?? Holy smokes almost at 10 and we have not even gotten to protein, carbohydrates, salt, sugar, habits, diets, or even drugs and alcohol.
Needless to say. There is no “Top 10 benefits to Healthy Eating” because we are all so different. Try telling someone who is Lactose intolerant that they just must eat drink or consume milk or lactose no matter what.
That would likely not be at the top of their list now would it. So how do you know what the benefits of healthy eating are?
Well you must know yourself and your body. You know if eating carbohydrates for breakfast makes you ill or if protein at night gives you nightmares.
But you also must listen to your body. If you are craving a fruit or some type of healthy food it is likely that your body is craving that nutrient (junk food excluded).
Listen to your body and listen to yourself. The people selling these silly diet pills or some other type of weight loss or gain or muscle relaxant supplement on television do not know YOU.
Going into a herbal supplement store is best as it will assist you in getting answers BEFORE you take the plunge. They are trained and have access to this information.
Before making major changes be sure to talk to your doctor. Doctors are thrown with over 800 different new prescription drugs a year.
That is everything from birth control pills to cholesterol medications to gout to you name it. But if they do not tell you that the benefits of eating radishes can contradict with your prescription blood thinner, it’s hard to be upset.
