Baby Acne Care

Babies are most precious gift of God, or we can say that babies are most adorable living creature on the earth. They are blessings of god. They are so innocent and angelic that their smallest pain makes us uncomfortable. In fact many parents get irritated when they see some thing new on their body which they think that starting of any skin problem. Baby acne is one of the conditions about which parents are more concerned.

In a first instance people do not believe that acne can attack babies as well as acne is associated with teen age problem. Fact is that babies can get acne as well. Almost 20% of babies get this condition. It can appear at the time of birth or after couple of weeks. Baby acne looks like whiteheads with reddish surroundings.  Baby acne is more common at chin, cheeks and forehead, but it can spread all over the body. But one thing is sure that baby acne is irritating for baby, its not bother your baby in fact, so don’t be panic. In fact baby acne does not leave any types of scars. There are some tips to control it.

The reason behind baby acne is still unknown. More researches are conducted to find out the exact reason. But it is said that baby acne caused by hormones which is passed at the time of birth from baby’s mother. There is another condition, which looks like baby acne, commonly known as milia. They are tiny bumps on a face at the time of birth and disappeared within few weeks. So it is necessary to diagnose acne and milia properly. But both conditions do not require any special medications.

As , so avoid using it in early few months. Use creams and lotions after discussing it with your pediatric.

Do not squeeze or touch acne on your baby’s body.

Over clothing causes acne as well. Avoid over clothing.

It is good to consult your pediatric to take advice for your baby acne.
