Through the progress of technology, the creation of hockey sticks has become more and more complex. Modern hockey sticks are now made of high technology materials like Kevlar which is used in creating bulletproof vests, and carbon fiber which is a material used in space ships and Formula One cars.

Though modern hockey sticks may be lighter and durable than the old ones, many professional hockey players still use the traditional ones that are made of wood. Why? The difference is in the ?feel? of the stick.
